National Burrito Day in Jersey City
National Burrito Day is observed annually on the first Thursday in April. There are plenty of places around the Jersey City which serve this delicious meal to enjoy with friends. Burritos also pair perfectly with margaritas!
If you have never tried a burrito it’s a heavy tortilla wrapped around meat, cheese, tomato, rice, beans, vegetables, and sauces. Burritos are traditionally filled with ground beef, shredded chicken, shredded beef or shredded pork. If you’re vegetarian, skip the meat and do all veggies! Here are some great burrito places to check out:
Bubby’s Burritos – Their food is prepared with only the finest and freshest ingredients, making them all delicious and satisfying. Bubby’s salads, quesadillas, soft and hard shell tacos, burritos, enchiladas, wraps, and combo plates are all mouth-watering and will satisfy your cravings. Some of their favorite burritos are the grilled chicken burrito, grilled steak burrito and their vegan burrito.
Taqueria Viva Mexico Kitchen Café – This establishment is a cornerstone in the Jersey City community and has been recognized for its outstanding Mexican cuisine, excellent service and friendly staff. They serve classic dishes and only use high quality fresh ingredients. They are open all day and offer breakfast burritos, and have 16 types of lunch/dinner burritos such as the cactus burrito, chorizo burrito and Cajun shrimp burrito.
Orale Mexican Kitchen – Orale is a fun place with great margaritas to pair with your burrito. If you can’t celebrate National Burrito Day on April 4th, go for brunch on the weekend and order the Burrito Loco which has eggs, chorizo, bacon, cheese, black beans and salsa.
